{"id":595,"date":"2025-07-25T18:25:15","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T18:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tona.today\/?p=595"},"modified":"2025-07-25T18:25:17","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T18:25:17","slug":"kelly-osbourne-lost-best-friend-after-ozzys-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tona.today\/?p=595","title":{"rendered":"Kelly Osbourne lost &#8216;best friend&#8217; after Ozzy&#8217;s death"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Kelly Osbourne says she has lost her &#8220;best friend&#8221; following the death of her father Ozzy Osbourne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The heavy metal pioneer died on Tuesday at the age of 76.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He died just a few weeks after performing with Black Sabbath at a big farewell show in his hometown of Birmingham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rema - Baby (Is it a Crime) [Official Video]\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MsZhYgo9MoA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The concert was particularly poignant for his daughter Kelly, who got engaged backstage to her long-time partner Sid Wilson, from the band Slipknot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many family members were at Villa Park to support the so-called Prince of Darkness for what turned out to be his final performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Famous musicians such as Ronnie Wood from the Rolling Stones, Metallica and Guns N&#8217; Roses also took to the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His band Black Sabbath are credited with\u00a0inventing heavy metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2003, the father and daughter released a cover of the Black Sabbath song Changes, which reached number one on the UK singles chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her first comments since his death, Kelly Osbourne posted the opening lyrics from the song on Instagram with a broken heart emoji: &#8220;I feel unhappy I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The father-daughter duo were known for having a close relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They appeared together on the MTV reality TV show The Osbournes which ran from 2002-2005. It portrayed the star as the well-meaning, frequently befuddled patriarch of an unruly household.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More recently they reprised their family podcast alongside mother Sharon and brother Jack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday, the Osbourne family released a statement that said: &#8220;It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.
