(Official Video)\" width=\"980\" height=\"735\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7tChMHOrQJM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The valuation takes into account career earnings, investments and endorsements and says Ronaldo&#8217;s net worth is $1.4bn (\u00a31.04bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It says he earned more than $550m (\u00a3410m) in salary between 2002 and 2023, and breaks down his reported earnings through deals and sponsorship, including a decade-long deal with Nike worth almost $18m (\u00a313.4m) a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League in 2022 he reportedly became the best-paid player in football history with an annual salary of \u00a3177m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His contract was due to end in June 2025 but he signed a\u00a0new two-year deal\u00a0&#8211; reportedly worth more than $400m (\u00a3298m) &#8211; which will keep him at the club beyond his 42nd birthday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Argentina and Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi, who played against Ronaldo for many years during their time in Spain, has earned more than $600m (\u00a3447m) in pre-tax salary during his career, according to Bloomberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That includes $20m (\u00a315m) in guaranteed annual pay since 2023, which is about 10% of Ronaldo&#8217;s income during the same period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When he retires, 38-year-old Messi is set to get a stake in Inter Miami. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/football\/articles\/c1edxd020dwo\">(BBC)<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cristiano Ronaldo has become football&#8217;s first billionaire player, according to financial information and media firm Bloomberg.
